Depends entirely on the sales pages and the traffic you are sending.

I have had huge success with some products which had popups but some of them didn't convert well coz the sales page was not...

Most of CB vedors pages have pop up. But never send traffic directly, always on your landing page , squeeze page unless have possibility to change email list with yours on vendors landing page...
