Im active in several niches on twitter. One of the accounts just would not gain followers. I was tweeting, inviting my lists (pertinent lists) writing daily articles and eventually it started to chug...

Personally, id have a database table behind this and set an index on the email column to Unique - subsequent INSERT IGNORE will skip duplicates. Job done.
