A lot of times a single optin may not buy anything for a few months, the day they land on your website may just be research they were doing.

If you have the email optin, you stand a better chance...

I think your going about the affliate sale backwards (IMO).

I would do it in this order:

1) Get the email optin. (create something free to get the optin). Don't worry about the affliate sale...
