Don't worry, you can redirect as long as it is from the top-level domain name, e.g. www.mysite.com, you are just not allowed to redirect for example www.mysite.com/affiliateoffer.html

I actually think it's the other way round with paypal. If the buyer files a dispute and you as the seller tell paypal that it was a digital product, paypal will close the dispute almost immediately...
