Check out MaxBounty. They have quite a few CPL (cost per lead) campaigns that you can choose from. They are also newbies friendly :-)

I have a combination of both, adsense and some plr content. You can make money either way but there's a lot to it. You also need to start looking at SEO, content, etc..
