Yes, Google is constantly updating everyday, sometimes several times a day.
It's completely normal to see your rankings fluctuate (especially for brand new sites).

The point of a silo is to have link juice flow between all your pages. If you don't link E back to A. The link juice will stop at E and won't flow back to A and recycle the power.

Yes, I normally link out to other authoritative brands and sites (do-follow). This shows that my network only links out to good sites (including my own). The loss in link juice is worth it to me.

The only way is to search under each of them. Keep in mind, Google considers each subdomain a different entity so it would be silly to dilute your backlinks among 4 different URLs.
