If you have a site i'd suggest you try to migrate your twitter followers to that and try to capture contact info i.e- e-mail addresses. I would suggest using Twitter as a place to fish for clients...

Always put a good current pic of yourself if you are going to be doing IM and only a logo/business name if you are planning to act as a business but as others have stated be consistent.
