Notepad++ also can count words (but doesn't show a live counter either). To see it, just double click on the status bar where it lists length and lines.

No, you can't call the php function from javascript, which is what it looks like you are trying to do. You'll have to submit the form to actually do the update, or submit data using ajax.

From your original code, you could change it to the below. This seems to work on Firefox, but I'm not sure if it'll work on IE. Let me know if it works for you.

You could also just set the div to display:block and hide it with javascript in the body onload event.

You can get rid of them. Only caveat is if one of your applications was pointing at a specific version, it may stop working.

From what I understand, you have a list, one url on each line.

Click Search / Replace, or do Control + H.

Find what: ^(.*)$
Replace with: <a href="\1">\1</a>

Search mode should be "Regular...

Are you using a router? If so, did you forward the ports to the computer with the FTP server?
Could your ISP be blocking the...
