Be careful with a lot of those, almost anything at those prices are low quality and only good for tier 2 or 3 links using them to backlink your main site will probably do more harm than good.

Of course its not "magic" because its a .EDU. Its great because they are DA90+ domains with good content (research papers, study articles, etc.) instead of crap. They have a ton of onpage SEO factors...

Most of them are moderated. I spend a lot of time finding good sources for articles and blog posts with links on .edu and .gov sites that are not moderated.
