Every ad I have put up has direct linked. Haven't had any problem with that. One thing that will get your ad rejected quite often will be that they "say" you are suppose to have everything you want...

Of course! I wouldn't overload them with promotional emails, I'd keep the ratio of promotional emails to helpful articles/tips/advice to about 1:5 (20%), so that you don't get too much subscriber...
