I'm outside IM/MMO. What works for me is Facebook ads to get likes and email subscribers, and sell by email after sending awesome freebies.

I'll agree with Odahh, the purpose of the school isn't to put you in a positive frame of mind. The more school you do, the tougher it will be to get out of this mindset.

I think I get subtle the point of submitting unique content. Methinks, if Google sees an article on my site, and on a bunch of other sites linking to my site, it will think "these folks are copying...

As someone else said, you can get the text back from google cache without paying anything. Settings, plugins, themes - you can just reinstall those, if you really want.

Starting fresh is also good...
