I will normally stop promoting a niche after about 400 or so hops with no sales. I used to have that number much lower - maybe about 200 hops, then one of the niches that I was going to dump...

I've never used it but I know people who have with success. It all depends on your keywords and how effectively you target them in your submissions, etc.
