Can't see why PDC wouldn't work with WP. Obviously it wouldn't provide the membership mechanism unless you are using an additional plugin. You would have just need to have a salespage and a download...

Leave htaccess as it is. Rename the php file with the extension .html . It should look alright then. If not, then let the person know who sent it to you that you want it as a .html extension.
