Alertpay is good but it won't overtake Paypal due to their Ebay connection.
I agree with some here that 2CO would be best. Good for those with and without Paypal accounts.

why don't you try 2checkout, they can accept paypal payments for you
they are aesy to use but you need to get approved first
about alertpay, I've used them and I think they are as good as paypal...

PPC and facebook can be a little expensive but is targeted traffic if you do your research and start the right campaign you don't need much traffic to see conversions
