Yes they are kind of like that but personally I will take it a bit further and recruit affiliates to promote my offers myself to increase conversion cause you might make enough profit as you expect...

I have a product that's been selling on JVZoo for a few years now. Most of the affiliates that come from them aren't that great by themselves (same goes for Clickbank and any other platform really)....
