I like the idea of taking out a backlink you like. It may help get more readers or subscribers to your blog if you get a lot of people saying general good comments, even if they are probably spammy....

Depends on what you want your blog to do.

If you just want traffic, then you want as many comments as possible.

If you want quality targeted traffic, then you want to delete unhelpful comments.
