The type is too small and the lines are way too long. There's a reason newspapers and magazines use columns a couple inches wide. I couldn't (meaning, have no desire to) read more than a couple lines...

A ton of people still use tables for web design. A lot of my competitors have table based websites and they outrank me. Tables aren't an issue.
