And NEVER use double optin. It protects you from NOTHING and only reduces your optin rate. Leaving you with a smaller less responsive list....

Yes that is true. However, I am not a CPA so it is best to find yourself one and discuss you particular tax consequences as everyone is different due to our wonder 20,000+ page Federal Tax Code :)

Make it an LLC

I disagree with the conclusions of the OP. If you are buying from a quality solo provider they will be getting fresh leads everyday from multiple sources. They shouldn't be overselling their lists...
