I have had success offering an affiliate product with a $1 trial as an OTO and it has converted at 12% lifetime for me. It is related to the opt-in report.

I zip all of my downloads. It's common practice nowadays so definitely use it. I would also make several smaller downloads rather than just one big one. So split your videos up into smaller packages....
