Bear in mind the a .co.uk will rank better within the UK by Google because it's considered more local and therefore more relevant.
If you add the .com to Google Webmaster Tools you can tell...

I'm in the UK, and we use the .co.uk in preference for various sites where the businesses are selling within the UK. We try to get the .com as well (and point that to the .co.uk) but it hasn't seemed...
