I highly doubt it has anything to do with this, especially with one or two low quality blogroll links.

My guess is you lost ranking by losing another (or a few) important links or even the links...

The disavow tool is a sham. It isn't there to help you but to help Google make their algorithm better. That's it.

If you want to disown links you need to get them removed, no other way around it.
