In my humble opinion, domain should have a keyword in it and thats it. Do not spend too much time thinking about it. But do not hurry it either. Spend time on content and seo :)

Yup, its all about experience and patience. The experienced Adsense gurus build a couple of sites and within few months they start making at least 200 per month from them. But a newbie just struggles...

Comments are nofollow in wordpress. If the comments are unrelated to article or have abusive language then delete them. Else they do no harm.

Start by manually adding your site to Google, Bing and Yahoo. Create a site index and put it in robots.txt Create backlinks. You would see your site listed hopefully in 2-3 weeks.

YouTube is better because you get the benefit of incoming YouTube visitors too. This is another SEO trick, put videos on YouTube and create visitors base as well as backlinks.
