I never offer people a 'FREE Gift' in return for their email.

I tell them 'up front' that they are opting into my sales...

If you go with the Thank you page one thing to try that works and keeps people coming back to you is to have a unadvertised bonus on the page to download it makes them feel special

And don't spam...

Just remember when they optin you should be selling a very low ticket item, usually between $1 - $10 range, which is what we call a TRIP...
