Re: What I Learned From Failure...Must Read For New People

I too was hit badly when eza got slapped but a year later another traffic source spontaneously grew to take me close to previous highs. Panda 4 put paid to that and I'm struggling again but like you...

Re: Amazon Affiliate Income-Is it really possible to make over 1000 a month?

I see nothing in this thread to indicate anything but good intentions from Lindy and I have, unlike some, read every post. I suggest that those in here who have been registered 5 minutes with low...

Re: HostGator Sucks Now

I got the email warning me that they were about to "Upgrade" my hosting for me about a week ago. I am now with Veerotech and the migration was a lot less painful than I was expecting.

Re: What are some hot sites to submit content to today?

Mkcoy,

Your attack on Alexa is completely unjustified. So far she has contributed something in this thread which is more than you have done. I don't agree with everything that she says but that is...

Re: Duplicate Clickbank Orders

Yes Alexa, I'm with you there too. I emailed Clickbank earlier today after I had collected all the tracking evidence to support what I was saying.

Re: Listwire's sucess rate?

At last I have found something that I can disagree with Alexa on. Ever since she joined the forum I have found Alexa's posts to be informative and wise beyond her years and until now I have not been...

Re: Should affiliates be able to see who purchased through their link?

Clickbank have recently removed this information from the eyes of affiliates for legal reasons. They are planning to replace it with a unique customer id to facilitate tracking what customers do.

Re: Clickbank commissions! Who bought it?

I have spoken to CB developers about the customer tracking problem. They are looking seriously into providing a customer tracking ID by which you can follow buyers. This should solve most of our...

Re: Clickbank Changes?

I spoke with developers at CB today and I believe that they are working on solutions that will address most of the concerns mentioned in this thread. The timescale to implement the solutions is not...

Re: Ok so how do multiple people work on the same website at once?

You don't do development on a live system like Facebook. It's too easy to screw it up. The software team will be working on one or more development servers or virtual machines for convenience. Site...

Re: Is Clickbank Ripping Me off?

What I don't understand about this apparent tracking problem is this -

If the affiliate nickname was showing at the bottom of the order page how then can a cookie failure be blamed for the...

If you don't want me to unsubscribe from your list then...

Don't

1. Put Notification of Payment Received in the subject line.

2. Don't put anything in the subject that is designed to trick me into opening it by pretending to be something that it is...

Re: Visitors Going Up & Conversion Rate Going Down

This story is very similar to mine and I've been trying to get to the bottom of the problem for some time now.

I've been seriously in business since December 06 and I currently make a modest but...

Re: Does anyone use hosting company's ftp?

This is very good advice. Do not use FTP - you will get burned.

I use WinSCP with SFTP/SSH exclusively and have done for some time. FTP just isn't worth the risk anymore.

Re: Free Desktop Apps For Internet Marketing

Kirk, I think the same way that you do. Why should I need to change an application that has served me well for years just because I had to get a new machine with the latest version of Windows on it....

Re: My first affiliate niche Weight Loss sucks me in clickbank - I worked hard but no sale yet.

I promote that product and it converts badly for me. 1 sale in every 1000 hops if I'm lucky. On your traffic average of 100/day, an estimated ctr of 10% and sticking a wet finger in the air I would...

Re: Have you seen the affiliate link disclaimers on any sites?

I believe that the requirements state something to the effect that the disclosure must be conspicuously close to the offer links in such a way that the reader will notice it.

I took this to mean...

Ezinearticles Warning - Be careful before resubmitting old articles

It isn't any fault of ezinearticles.com but I've just had my account suspended and I want to warn others before they fall into the same trap as I did.

As I said it isn't EZA's fault but it isn't...

Re: Subdomains vs. Domains - Yes, again!

If Google decides to de-index your site it will remove everything from the index - The domain and ALL the subdomains.

I started off doing this 4 years ago and it was building nicely I thought...
