With a price point under $10 most common is to offer 100% on the front end and make up for that with a higher priced OTO that you split 50/50 or whatever with affiliates. But not everyone gives 100%...

Yeah I never stress out about affiliates too much either

I can tell you that I don't even bother with affiliates at this point in my game. :D

(I've even turned down a boatload of affiliates over the last year or so. Now I make all my programs private)....

This isn't a problem. You should check that you follow the ToS for any affiliate program. Amazon does not allow affiliate links from inside ebooks but Clickbank and JVZoo do, for example.
