Yeah it does but the Pro version also had a huge database of articles, maybe plr or something which helped ensure that there was lots of info for the research.

The desktop version is great but...

Time for house cleaning. You will find stuff that is not nearly as important as you thought it was. Clear it out, you will be amazed at what really isn't worth keeping.

It's fine. You're moving it from a shutdown PC. No harm done. All files closed.

BTW, I have two external hard drives and I never "eject" them. I simply turn the drives off after I turn off the PC....

If you want to go into sleep mode with files open, then copy them to your local disk first. The USB ports are shut down in hibernation.

Yank at will. The reason for using an "eject" is to flush any pending buffers to disk. If you haven't been writing to that disk it is not a problem. And as 123bc says, the connection is closed on...

presume your external hdd is usb and depending on system you use(vista.window 7 for example) there is a small icon in the taskbar (near your clock) when hovered over mouse you can click "safety...
