If you want to do something like what Wordpress uses on it's admin panel, your looking for jQuery Javascript Framework.

Just do a quick search for "jQuery tutorials" and you will find everything...

Most likely that's where it would be at.
Im not sure how that plugin works, but you can also check Settings->Permanlinks, and checking the structure there.

That may be why you have those...
