Hyperlink your image to the salepage on Amazon. One thing that people lik eto do is click on images.

The image is in the hottest spot on your page, no reason why you can't take advantage of that.

You dont tell the user what you want them to do.

Users are sheep, they need to be led. Lead them straight to the action you want them to take. Don't leave any guesswork for them.

Gawdy is not the word I would use to describe it, but it is definitely "too" something...

I believe in minimizing header graphics, because its only purpose is to give a personality to the page...
