i was about to start a blog and i believe thats a pretty great guide. Thanks its gonna help.
Although i m really not sure if some good money (like more than 1k monthly) can be made from a blog started today. I know stuff used to be easier in the past.

Great info Kim, here is my view on blogging in 5 steps :-)

1. Get a great blog platform and theme (Wordpress.org)
2. Find a topic you want to write about
3. Become an expert on this topic and write compelling blog
4. Drive traffic to blog using Social Media and Search Marketing
5. Monetize blog with Google Adsense or Clickbank Ads (related to blog)

Quality is key but so is frequency. How often are blogs left stale and unattended. I tend to see a lot of people who are ambitious and start blogging, but fail to put the time to manage the blog.

Establishing a blog is definitely not an overnight job. It can get frustrating to have your blog for a long time and still not receive the amount of views that you want for it. You must first start with good quality contents then create connections to get your blog out there.
