How do i use social media to get my site ranked?

Hey everyone,
im a complete beginner in internet marketing and site bulding and i just set up my first site following 'google sniper' method to rank a site for one specific keyword, and i almost finished my site, it has everything it needs exept for the main post (the last one), the affiliate links and a banner, the on page optimisation can totally rank the site first place for my keyword, but even though it's indexed on google it's nowhere to be seen on the results (and this is a pretty non competitive keyword) and i need to change that
i haven't done any social bookmarking yet and there are no backlinks at all, i wanted to make an animoto video for it but i saw that's a paid service now so i also need and i need a different site like that if any of you know a free one, and also how do i integrate my site with social media so that it ranks? all i did up to now was ping it and also install the digg digg plugin to integrate like facebook likes and twitter and tumblr and stumbleupon and all that good shit, but it hasn't really helped anything with the rankings so what do i need to do here people? i guess google sniper is a bit outdated and the internet works with social media a lot more, so what do i need to do to dominate the rankings on this guys? i need to rank #1 for it, and i'm pretty sure social media is one of the things i'm missing here

    You could make a Facebookpage for the site, named exactly as the site, with a little description containing good keywords. What people seem to forget is that a sole Fb page cannot do them much good, but with a good "About" text that contains words that can be indexed by Google things already change. Also make a Google + page, with the same description and all, and a Twitter account in that same way and the chances to be found by keywords increase.

    Social sites like facebook and twitter, Google and the other search engines has take into account social signals to determine a websites ranking.

    Counts how many tweets and retweets a URL has.

    The number of Facebook shares and likes.

    How many +1 a profile has.

    So maybe the easiest way is to find a good seller for social signas and enrich your social media profile and possible your rankings on google.

    Like it was already said, the search engines automatically "index" all of the most popular social media sites.

    The "Social Media Sites" won't directly help your Website index in google, it will IN-DIRECTLY help because of the keyword connections, back-links, and also the potential clicks/engagement from your Social Media fans. Anytime they share your links, or your blog posts that will help too. So you must combine social media pages, with the other SEO tricks as well.



    You will notice in most cases, for a new website, the social media accounts for their brand will show up first in Google Searches.

    What counts is backlinks... even how many social engagements you're into if you dont have a solid backlinks, you'll not rank high on the SERPs.
