What is Google strategy, is it a monopoly business?

Recently we are observing that Google is updating its algorithm very frequently.Panda,Humming Bird,Pigeon,Penguin what not.They are trying to establish a content rich marketing.In context their recent Panda 4.1 update. And may be intimidate update is coming for Penguin.
where other search engines are quiet and observing Google.
Google is playing a brilliant game to give priority on content.Why that? My thinking recently search engine marketing has become a popular phenomenon especially for affiliate marketers.
Now ,Google Adsense is their a major target and for that they are giving you free Adwords campaign training providing you regular free resources so that you can use High CPC keywords.
Another thing is that ,Google competitor is now FaceBook (by considering Marketing strategy) and Facebook is become a more popular social media marketing place for business owners .
Hence forth, Google+ is not wait quietly ,it is also becoming more popular by providing many features like hangouts and Local Maps. Beside that YouTube also established as a popular Video marketing platform.
In conclusion ,there will be a day when visitor will engaged within a Google circle.
