Do you use FB and G+ groups for traffic?

Each time I try to find pages and post/leave a comment they're full of crap, spam and more crap. Seriously in IM at least I haven't seen 1 good fb page or g+ group yet.

They're either loaded with affilaite links, pure spam (like advertising watches), or the same old ptc links, mlm crap. You also find comments with foreign language... these are the pages listed top for Internet Marketing.

There are way better places to get traffic than groups. Most of these are full of wannabe marketers who think that people are going to click on there links "mlm downline built for you" .

Free traffic is hard to get anything going, find a place to get $.01 clicks and your life will be that much better.

we don't spam group to drive traffic or to use facebook group n g+ marketing..
Those crappy way of advertising don't last long.

Instead , build credibility and relationship, that's the only way to market in social media. As long as your market to people , they want relationship... Art of sales n marketing called = relationship.
In all industry.. for long term business, that's the key to succeed. I believe lots of people will agree with me.

I've always had great results by posting in FB Groups as I have my own Group Poster software. Over 1500+ clicks on some campaigns.

I do hear a lot of diffrent results from people. I guess it really depends on your ad and the groups your in.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Aron

I joined various G+ communities with me being the only one there for advertising, little to no traffic came trough. Granted tho, these groups all together had under 500 members.

I am using facebook fan page for driving a traffic. Using an automatic tools to update and promote the fans page. I think that this fans page is still powerful to drive traffic.

Posts in Facebook groups is similar to your ads (free) in newsfeed and 500 million members use Facebook groups monthly. There's no reason not to drive large amount of traffic from those groups if you do it right.

    1. When you run ads, you choose and test different "Interests". The same thing is true to posting in Facebook groups. One post can reach thousands of members in one group, but just about a few members in another group of the same size. You need a tool to quickly measure all your groups in terms of engagement and reach.

    2. Needless to say the importance of your post (ad copy).

    3. The most important thing is to track the clicks for every post to identify the best performed posts and the best performed groups. We probably won't use any ad platform if it doesn't report the clicks. The same thing is true to posting in Facebook groups.

    4. Once you optimized the posting, you want an tool to schedule/automate the process.

I know many people get hundreds of clicks every day from Facebook groups. And they have built top 1,000 sites in their target country with 100% traffic from Facebook groups.

Those making money or MLM groups are the worst groups to posts to. There're many groups with 100k to millions of members. You need to contribute and share your expertise to the groups, not spam the groups.

It's the same for G+ communities and Linkedin groups. G+ communities are much smaller. You're not supposed to post your links in other people's fan pages (their properties).

You need to find FB groups with active admins.Groups without active admins are total spam fest.
Google+ is a crappy social network for marketing.

There are still a few heavily moderated Facebook and Google+ groups. Find those groups and work at establishing a connection with the people in the group. Over time, you might be able to use a signature line or link back to your own site. Though these heavily moderated groups will likely not tolerate link dropping from people who join just to advertise and never contribute in any other way.

Five years ago Facebook groups were worth promoting in, but like so many other marketing methods online, they have become over run by spam and low quality content. It would be worth your time to actually find one good Facebook group worth promoting in where people actually read the posts.
