Can I use Facebook Ads for Mens Dating Product?

Hey Warriors!

I have been working on this men's dating product which I will be releasing soon which is about helping men find their dream girl. I am hoping to run some Ads on Facebook to get people to signup to the product. It will basically send them to a squeeze page or a one page site to purchase it.

I was wondering if Facebook allows these type of Ads to run on their platform. I heard a while back that they stopped allowing some online dating sites to run dating ads and are getting a lot stricter with this niche now.

Has anyone ran any Facebook Ads for their own dating niche products or even to their dating site or an affiliate offer and got their ads accepted?

    It probably won't' convert very well.

    What would you use as your ad image? A picture of the ebook's cover? FB users are not looking to be marketed to. It works best for content marketing and things like tee shirts.

      Not sure what I will be using in the Ad, but I guess you're right when it comes to marketing on Facebook. People on Social Media don't like to be sold to. I will probably focus my efforts more on POF, Bing and Adwords.

    From Facebook's advertising guidelines:

    Dating Ads for adult friend finders or dating sites with a sexual emphasis are not permitted. Ads for other online dating services are only allowed with prior authorization from Facebook. These must adhere to the dating targeting requirements and the name of the product or service must be included in the ad text or image.
