Facebook pages

What with Facebook and all off its changes recently they seem to be wanting people to start pages and pay for advertising a lot, however Facebook only shows around 2% of any page updates to the people that have liked it and organic growth is almost 0% now

my question is this
i have a Facebook page with 35k likes been going since Aug 2014 and i have paid for 90% of my likes from FB
i found another page today with over 250k likes and they have been going for just under 2 weeks and have only put up pictures 6 of them !
mine is humor theirs is weather
how the hell did they get that many likes so quick and get everyone active on the page !

have they bought there likes ?
am i missing something here and i'm not going through Addmefast or Fiverr as there all fake like and not good anyway

any ideas ?
Thanks

  • What gets you more reach is interaction with your posts - likes, comments, etc. If you have bought 90% of your likes, I doubt you get much interaction which is why your reach is 0%. That's one of several problems with buying likes.

If you organically get fans that actually are interested in your content, they will usually at least like the post which increases your reach. If they comment on it, even better.

As to the one with 350k likes - without seeing the page, would be hard to guess how they did it.

  • Can be many reasons.
Suggesting friends method can be one. Yes I've seen people carving big...real big pages within days with this method alone, but its also risky.

Bought likes might be the logical conclusion though...
  • most likely they bought their likes from a third party.

    • I wouldn't waste any time worrying about how many likes that other page has. For one thing, they could be fake likes. For another, likes really don't matter that much. It's engagement that matters. For instance, check out Coca-Cola's latest post: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153669569753306

The Coca-Cola page has over 90 million likes, yet that post only has about 1000 likes, 126 shares and 22 comments. Even if those 90 million likes are legitimate (and since it's Coca-Cola, they may well be), there's almost completely worthless.

I'm guessing this other page's likes are just as worthless.

  • It doesn't matter how many likes your page has because it's not likely many of your fans will ever see your posts. Right now F.B. is wanting people to pay for post exposure and I haven't found any way around that.
