Need more activity on YouTube and Facebook

Dear all,

I run a channel on youtube as a passionate hobby and have a facebook plus twitter page to go along with it. I also have a website which I know the format of which is redundant, but at the minute I havent got the finances to revamp this.

My goal is to have a healthy number of youtube subscribers, get more views, comments etc and just generally have more activity on my channel.

I do post things on my facebook, but I don't have a positive circle of like minded people that will give me likes and comments, I just get idiots respond to my content.

Can someone look at my channel and give me some constructive feedback or suggestions on ways I can push this forward? I think my content is unique to me, it's just I am not fortunate enough to have a big social circle.

Any help would really be appreciated!

the link to channel is https://www.youtube.com/user/HitsDhanak

If you're just focusing on increasing your YouTube engagement, here are some things you can start doing right away:

Comment on other Vlogger's content: Post comments to other youtube videos in other areas of your niche to engage viewers on other videos and be seen as more of an authority, the more valuable comments you make, the more of a natural trickle down effect as traffic gradually refers to your own channel.

Shorter videos: Your videos are MASSIVE. It can be intimidating for someone new to your channel to see that all your videos are approx. 1hr long. Who has time to take 1hr out of their day and watch your content? I struggle to do that for really valuable content in my own niche! Keep the long videos if they are valuable, but introduce shorter videos as well (3-10mins is for best engagement on YouTube)..

Interview another Vlogger: Based on the content I have seen in some of your videos it seems that this niche is quite small, or at least, there isn't much of a presence from other Vloggers on YouTube. Find users with more subscribers than you and have a roundtable discussion about an issue that will generate interest. This will create more trickle down effect from that users own traffic/subscribers.

Twitter engagement: Twitter is the best place to get involved in conversations fast. find out what's trending in your niche and get involved, have links to your YouTube channel in your profile and actively tweet about new videos you've produced to get more interest.

Forum signatures: After taking a quick look on Google there seems to be a few forums related to your interests. Join these forums if you haven't already and find out if you can add a link to your YouTube channel in your signature. Have a strong call to action like: Free Your Mind Now! Discover the secret to living life better in less than 3mins a day... and have the link point to a quick video with super valuable content to complete the promise.

    Hope this helps!

You can leverage Facebook Graph Search to start building your network with targeted prospects and buyers who would be a good fit for your business.

Delete all the negative dopes off of your page. They don't serve you. This is assuming you are using your personal Facebook page to market, which I believe is a powerful combo in tandem with sponsored posts on your "Fan Page."

Step 1: Start building your network using Facebook Graph Search:

Step 2: Leverage Facebook Edge Rank to get more engagement

Basically, the more you like, comment, and share other people's stuff, you will appear more frequently on their news feed and they will reciprocate.

Here's an article that explains it more.

I think I can help you with Youtube. Normally I follow these steps to increase activity on my Youtube channel.
1.The thumbnails you create for each video are more important than you think. It’s the first thing people will see when they search for your videos. So make it dynamic.
2.Think over your title and video description.
    3.Create a Custom Background Image.
    4.Make Your Best Video Featured.
    5.Pay Attention to Comments.
    6.Users like playlists
Just simply follow these steps, hope you would be able to increase activity on your Youtube channel.

I'm not sure if this will help you or not, but here's an infographic that discusses video length, content, etc. for video marketing. Also, remember to keep put as much as possible into descriptions & use hashtags wisely. Another important thing is to fill up your tags box with any relevant keywords that you can.

Guys, I don't know if the following question is asking for something that doesn't exist but is there such a service or professional marketing person that can do all the things that are suggested in the above posts at a charge? Like someone that can take ownership of my facebook and youtube and help me generate the subscribers and things like that? Someone with some really good networking skills perhaps. I know there are companies out there that offer fake subscribers, that's not what I want.

I don't think that there is any such software that can do it all on its own, but yes you can hire yourself a virtual assistant on odesk, fiver, or freelacer who can takecare of all such jobs for you.
Furthermore as far as management of social media is concerned, you can schedule your posts for later, have auto responses generated, an manage multiple accounts by using one of these software:

No I don't mean as in software, I mean as a person whom I can pay like a one off fee to get me the activity, publicity, hitrate, and response that I want. Then once I'm up there I can pretty much keep the tide going. Does anyone know anyone that offers a legitimate service?

I am sure you can get someone like that on one of the freelancing sites I mentioned in my previous post. Just make a detailed Job offer highlighting what you want done, and then hire someone who has sufficient experience is the kind of work that you are looking for.

such a person will come with high cost though especially if they are good!

Hiring someone on a gig site to get you activity is an iffy situation as you never know if they will use bots or software for likes. That could get your account in hot water. You could try hiring a virtual assistant who would promote/advertise/tweet about your channel and videos. This person's job would be to spread the word so that you can simply enjoy the traffic.

Thanks, a virtual assistant is what I need then. I'm going to go on freelancer and look for that. Thank you so much.

I like the concept you are using on your Youtube channel with 'interviews'. This is a very unique approach. However, the themes you cover in your videos are so wide ranging. How would you define your niche or Youtube channel? Are you about mind empowerment? What is the defining theme that you could focus on (even a much larger category such as self improvement) that would help your viewers to more easily identify with your channel.

Some of your videos are very long mate , people dont have the time nowadays to sit and watch long videos so in this case the shorter the better to catch and hold peoples attention . Thumbnails are important too because they do that as well 'catch peoples attention '

Quality content (in your case quality videos) is needed to boost your presence in YouTube - create visually appealing, interesting and diverse videos. The more frequent you post new videos, the more likely you'll be able to gain more interested viewers/subscribers.
