Newbie In Pinterest, Does Pinterest Work for ranking YT videos?

Hello guys,

Anybody here managed to rank Youtube Videos in google or at least bring traffic to his/her YT videos using Pinterest? Is it a good idea to go with?

I have 8 videos in an specific niche, Now I want to create a few pinterest boards using these videos to bring more traffic to them and rank them in google using pinterest if possible? But as I am a newbie in pinterest I am not sure how to provide more videos and/or pics to pin in my boards? Can I use the videos or the pictures of others -in pinterest or in websites- to add them to my boards as pins (not repins)? Is that what others do? Does it work? Do most of others in pinterest own the pics/videos they pin or those pics/videos are taken from somewhere else?

Thank you so much for any help

Almost everyone will tell you that Pinterest is no follow. However, that won't really matter as the links coming off of Pinterest will have authority value with Google. Another thing to consider is how any video posted on Pinterest is likely to rank for that page especially if you take the time to include tags, full description and good title. The actual page on Pinterest will always have a good rank, even if your video on Youtube does not. In this way, your page on Pinterest for that video will get found and your video will get watched (which means more views), even if they don't ever click through to watch on Youtube.

Thank you so much for your response,

So I just pick up good keywords for titles/tags and descriptions, right?
But what if I don't have more videos to upload (I have just 8)? How to bring traffic to the videos via pinterest?

      Thanks

yup buddy you're on the right track. Research the keywords that you use and make sure that your keywords are the one that have the highest hits with the lowest competition.

As far as your second question is concerned. I think you can post those 8 videos, and use the right keywords. For bringing more traffic, Just upload some great tutorials for them. Don't just make your board look like a tool for marketing. Give people other good stuff too.

Holiday season is coming up so why not upload something good about that. something that helps your customers even if it doesn't relate to your product. Put yourself in their shoes and see what they want.

This will give your customers a very good impression of you, and you'll benefit from it not just in the form of video views but in the long run as well!

Links from pinterest are recognized by search engines so you can use it for ranking any other site of your choice.

One thing to keep in mind for the time being is that Pinterest is primarily women (80%+) so that might have some bearing depending on what niche you're in.

Videos can do pretty well on Pinterest and one of my favorite parts about posting videos/affiliate links on there is how easy it is to repin; and the more people repin the higher Google will rank your video because it's shows that your video is becoming popular. Go for it and use some good keywords in the pin description so your audience can find you. Good luck!

Thanks all for your comments and for your helps...

How can I get more repins for my video? I have 5 boards all related in pinterest, and my main video has got only one repin now! How can I bring it more repins please? What should I do?

Furthermore how to find the active guys to follow them in pinterest? The thing I do in this regard is to search related boards in my niche and follow the guys who have repined the board/pin.... Is it the good method to go with, or there is a better why to get more people to follow me?

      Thanks

P.S I would like to go to the related boards and add a comment with the link to my board or pins... is This a good idea to get more repins or followers?

If you're asking if Pinterest can drive traffic to your YouTube channel/video - YES. Provided that you have a catchy/quality description, you make use of the right hashtags and have a large following, you can easily obtain conversions through Pinterest.

This is good advice, the description is often overlooked or poorly attributed. Make the keywords relate to your product, service or mission.

You can boost your business and subscribers by integrating your Youtube videos with your Pinterest. It's a great way to leverage your platforms. Start by downloading Shareaholic for Pinterest: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...gdmffmkdhiegmc . You have to make sure that you have already optimized your video like completing the Title and description box with your blog or page. Also, make sure your channel(Profile Picture, Title, Descriptions List of Links) is optimized as well. Once you pin you video with the help of a plugin you can now create a specific board for your Youtube channel.
    TIPS:
Add Keywords to your Description box
Add link of your blog/page inside the Description box

There are lots of ways to rank your youtube videos. Don't focus only on Pinterest and as JohnyPlan said all links from Pinterest are no follow!

    Good luck

Nofollow or not it generates a good amount of traffic and at the same time a good exposure for the channel. Keep also in mind that engagement counts as a ranking factor. In short, it is not all about the backlinks. There are way more possibilities a certain platform can give

      Thanks,

I agree, I have just 5 boards all related... I just have a problem getting repins for my/pins/videos.... I don't know what I should do so that people repin my videos!?
My niche is woman related and my videos are really helpful... I have almost 100 followers and I am following almost 1000 boards/persons...

I see most of people do not comment in related popular pins, I thought maybe it can help if I put the link of my boards/pins as comments to the related pins... Are you mates agree?

      Thanks,

Social Share is a big signal for youtube to rank videos. But I don't think pinterest shares make sense to rank your videos in Youtube.
