Well asking a question is a good start, and it has the bonus element of inviting interaction directly.

Keep them short and try to use universal language and concepts, so you can appeal to a broad base.

Maybe test potential titles on Twitter and see which performs the best and then use for a blog post or video.

Journalism wise, the titles should have about 3-5 words, be intriguing and describe as best the content. A title depends on what the article is about, so here is not a clear answer to be delivered of how a title hould look like. Think of something that would make you watch/read the content. Maybe ask some friends for their opinion also. Best of luck!

To add to the value already given you can do this also. When you are in the store look at magazines that are in your niche and the titles on the front.

They already have proven tested titles and headlines you could use and test yourself.

Example: in the fitness niche you can look at Men's Health and Women's Health magazine. They are experts and a good starting point to get powerful titles.

    Hope this helps...

Controversial titles work well for getting attention. How to titles work good to, but have been done to death by now with all the tutorials online. Maybe the best option for you now is to simply poll your subscribers and ask for their opinions. Create an entire video about this subject and ask for feedback in the comment section.

I think the best Titles are things that usually compare more than one product or service like Top 3 tools or company vs company, etc. Google seems to favor those. I would research a few keywords and see what google ranks.

Copyrighting is an art, the only way to get good is actually do it. Bounce ideas off other blogs.

I always look at Buzzfeed.com not to actually read their irrelevant, senseless articles that appeal to people with too much time on their hands, but to actually jack their titles and use them creatively and effectively.
