Does Facebook allow affiliate links?

Hello, I have never used Facebook for affiliate marketing purposes so I have this simple doubt

    Sometimes. And what shows up on Facebook when you post an affiliate link is often really ugly. Long bad looking multi character links and no picture. If you wanted to look more professional, you would probably be better off linking to a page on your own site where you had posted an article or a review.

    Facebook don't allow affiliate link for the popular network what you can do is a cloaking url that doesn't look like affiliate link and then post it on facebook even you can't use shortners..

      Out of my surprise it allowed me to do so. What I did was to buy a cheap domain and redirect it to my affiliate link. I couldn't believe it would work but it works well till now.

      If you have $10 to waste for a domain then give it a try, if not then write an honest review and link the post url.

    They allow affiliate links.. Just look at the promoted posts there are people using the exact links from JVZOO right now for a promotion.. But as a general rule don't post them because they are ugly links and people generally don't click links they don't trust or know. So in other words you want to create links that look more visually appealing.

    Use bit.ly or something like that to shorten them.. Just go to similarsites.com and put bit.ly into that search and you will get another list of shortener sites that can help you.. Or if you are using Wordpress then make sure to use the PrettyLinks plugin.. I will help your links look better.

    In my experience, no. They came down hard on advertisers using affiliate links. A work around I am familiar is having a site in the niche you are promoting, linking to a "landing page" and then linking to the product from there.

    I think you can promote affiliate links. You can always use: https://goo.gl/ for short links though.Just don't promote landing pages promising certain amount of money. They will not allow that. And they don't like anything linked to Empower Network.

      I have done that sometime and most of them click bank products don`t even get accepted for a short url , i use now a inbuilt link shorter in my wordpress and it works .

    One trick I use is to send them to a Squeeze page which redirects them to the affiliate offer after Opt-In. That way you'll be building a list in the same time.

    In my experience, affiliate link doesn't work well on FB. Try to build a campaign first in your tracking system. Have it link to a landing page and have that lander then go to the app store URL.

    Use your blog with affiliate links and share your blog to FB. You can open FB page, group about the importance of your product and then share your affiliate links. Don't repeat your post more then ten times daily. Or you can share your affiliate links by images, by Shortening links or use landing page.

    Don't link directly, use a landing page or a squeeze page for opt-ins, that should work with no problem. Also it depends on what you are promoting and how (your ad copy).

    It's better to promote your affiliate product via landing page instead of directly posting affiliate links. But, if you want to share affiliate links directly, then make sure you shorten them by using URL shortening services like bit.ly, goo.gl, ow.ly etc, so that the links doesn't look ugly/spammy.

    I will usually build a squeeze page with a pretty link that will forward to the offer after the person puts in their email.

    I've read how Facebook is very tolerant of affiliate marketers, but that was only when they are buying the Facebook ads. But, not sure if they really want someone advertising for free on Facebook since they are not getting a cut. For certain, you can try it out. Not saying that you will earn money from it. As always, best to drive traffic to a site you control, not an affiliate site from a link posted on Facebook or third party site.

    It must depend on what type of affiliate links you are promoting because my ads with affiliate links are always approved...and I link straight to the sales page on the affiliate website.

    Yes it completely depends on the link and what offer you are promoting in my opinion mate.

    Like for instants if any of you heard of it BMID ( Build My Income Daily ) Facebook does not like that being promoted and it will not let you post the link in statues or in PM.

    They class it as spam along with a few other companies.

    And it is always better to cloak your link instead of haven't that long nasty looking affiliate link.

    you need to be smart. Don't use long and boring affiliate links. Use URL shorten to turn them into something better.

    I use a technique to post affiliate links on Twitter without any problem. I guess it works in Facebook too. I first shorten my link in https://safelinking.net/ and the shorten it again with https://goo.gl/

    Yes Facebook allow affiliate link.You can market any affiliate link here.But i here some of click-sure products does not allow on Facebook. But.But i have not any proven way only i here about this that some of click-sure link does not support.

    The best way to do this:
    1. Get your full affiliate link, including the http prefix.
    2. Go to Google's shorten free service: http://goo.gl/
    Shorten you link and copy it.
    3. Paste the new link on Facebook's "update status" box. Optional add some extra text. If your sharing it on a fan page, do not hit "Post" yet. After Facebook will grab the link's thumb image, click on "upload image" and change the image with your own.
    4. Hit post and your affiliate link should be there.
