Please help with my FB targeting...

Any FB ad experts here? I'm launching my first Teespring campaign soon and I'm really excited I just outsourced my first design What I need help with is about my targeting using FB ads... the design is going to be geared toward younger males that are "obsessed" with the gym and gym culture. (I know this market is probably saturated with people trying to shove their ads in these guys faces, but my design is funny, really unique and creative so I'm hoping it stands out). So what specific interests should I include to target these guys?? Obviously stuff like "gym, weight lifting, and fitness" are too broad. Any suggestions of how I can really narrow down this niche? It's my first campaign and I'd really like to make at least a few sales... I would appreciate any help!

Spend a lot of time on this as it's the most important. Start with google and start searching for sites, magazines, products and forums.

Open up Audience Insights and see if any of these come up as an interest.

Type some broad terms into audience insights and click the "likes" tab to see other pages similar

Click on some of these pages and "like" them then click on the recommended pages to find even more.

If you know how to use graph search type in "pages liked by people who like page name" or "products liked by people who like page name"

Look for the most engaging posts and then go through the comments and click on a few users that look pretty passionate and then go to their page and type in the search box "pages liked by persons name"

Once you have a big list you need to see which ones are available in the ads manager by typing them in one by one.

Once you have the list of the ones that you can target you should split them up into their own ads and budget $5 to each. This will give you an idea as to which interest is producing for you. Once you find the interests that are producing you can scale those up.

    Hope this helps.

Aside from what smartsites says, make sure you test different images and different age groups. Testing on FB, OR any other platform is the key to success. Once you find a winning image/age combo, scale it up!

One thing that I've used to really target people in the past is to find people that like certain magazine FB pages. Like 'people that like Body Building Weekly' or whatever the magazines are for those niches. Or certain books that about a topic. If the person bothered to like that on FB, then they are really into that thing, and it helps to narrow it down more than just the overall topic.
