Why Do You Hangout In The Social Networks And What You Look Forward To In Future ?
Howdy Folks,
Imagine I'm interviewing you asking about how you social network.
Q1. Which social networks do you use everyday and why you joined them ? To spend time when you're feeling bored ? To build a list to market too ? To make friends ? To advertise your links ? Anything else ?
Q2. Same question goes for which ones you use atleast once every week ? Plus, why only once per week and not everyday like the others ?
Q3. How have you been fairing on each social network to make friends that follow you ? Or, even those friends that communicate once in a while with you but don't follow you ?
Q4. Do you have friends you follow but they don't follow you ? What makes you follow them and what makes them not follow you ?
What do you think will make them follow you ? Any obstacle standing in your way to make them your followers too ?
Q5. Where do you see this whole social networking going to ?
Do you reckon it will grow more adventurous (ok, that's not the right word but you know what I mean) or do you reckon they'll take a dive sooner or later just like the online chat rooms and link directories took it in the past.
Q6. What features would you like to see in a social network that would make you stick to it more often and maybe even spend time on it more that you had reserved to spend on the others ?
Q7. Anything else you'd like to share ? Maybe, some lesson or tip or trick or experienced you gained or picked-up from the social networks ?
Q8. linkedin allows you to flash your business profile, twitter allows you to keep your friends upto date about your doings, youtube allows you to get your personal or marketing message across quicker and better than writing text, 43things allows you to build a list of things to do to remind you to do them and allows you to share your list with others, digg allows you to vote an article up, del.icio.us allows you to share your bookmarks with others, secondlife allows you to virtual tour and chat becoming an avatar, gaming sites let you have fun and spend time when you're bored, etc.
All this social network is all about going public and sharing your ideas and beliefs and opinions with others on a mass scale. What else is there from social networks that we could benefit but still aren't due to lack of features ?
Scratching our heads and wondering what obstacles currently standing in our way in current social networks to be more free-er to get our personal or professional or commercial messages across, anything comes to mind ?
What features would you love to see the social networks introducing ?
Why am I asking these questions ? To get to understand people more. As this would help us more "likeable" in the social networks and gain more followers, readers and audiences.
As for me, I don't social network yet. I thought it was a waste of time but thinking of changing my strategy now not for chit chatting but marketing the free way (without spamming ofcourse). Not interested in facebook ads.
