How to get quality traffic from facebook

Hi warriors !

I am looking to get some quality traffic on my new started mobile phone forum. I have facebook fan page with decent number of fans. Aprox 190,000 fans are on my fan page. Now I want start some campaign to get quality contents on my forum. Like real word problems related to mobile phone repairing, OS problems and solutions etc.

On the bottom line though forum is on initial level and I want good traffic from social media so real users can post their problems and solutions.

I need some nice idea from you guys, how can I make my users to drop some valuable and quality post on my forum ?

  • Can you offer them some sort of incentive? Maybe you can have a 'forum post of the week' contest and the best post wins a prize of some sort. Or if you can offer them a discount to a related store if they post about the forum and share it with 10 friends. Something that basically gives them a reward to get engaged until they are accustomed to sharing and using the forum.
  • Better to use groups with lots of members.
  • SDsurfer's idea of offering some sort of incentive is really good so I would suggest going down that route.

    You could also think about launching some targeted Facebook ads to drive access to the forum.

    • I also think that FB ads is a good route to take. There various campaigns you can set, depending on your target audience.
  • I suggest you to add some groups and ask people to join those groups. Initially, you can yourself add some question with answers.

    Join all mobile related forum.Do not join more than 12-15 groups within an hour.when u make 300+ groups than post per day at least 150 groups about ur forum.Then u get traffic.

    If ur forum design is beautiful then people sign up here.

    • If you want to drive high quality FB traffic these days you're going to have to pay to play. Not necessarily a bad thing, but with organic reach growing closer and closer to 0, be prepared to pay to boost posts.
  • I agree, you need to give them something that makes them want to come to your forums. First build your presence on your Facebook page, and get yourself a decent list. you can then lead them to your forum, and to retain their attention you can give them some exclusive content that keeps them coming back to your forum to check again from time to time.
