SOCIAL NETWORKS

If someone has connected with you, but you haven't connected with them , are they still considered a contact by Linked In ie can they (depending on your settings) see your profile and connections etc .

No, an invitation has to be accepted before two people are connected.

Until then, only the public profile is available.

Just wanted to add: Even though you haven't connected, they will see if you have viewed their profile, however. Which, I think is a bit creepy, but that's how they do it at LI.

  Yes you need to accept the invitation first to see the complete profile of a person and without connecting, you can only view specific information.
