links from social media - bitly or full site link?

hello,

from seo perspective should i add a link directly for my site or can i use bitly and still get the seo value of the links?

    You should link directly. It is not for SEO but people usually consider bitly links as spam.

    If you are using a limited space such as twitter offers you should use url shorteners, otherwise it is better to use your branded domain name linkeyz.

    I always use URL shorteners with Twitter, helps for a clean visual look to your timeline and conserves valuable character space.

    I don't believe it has any technical effect on SEO.

    I think its better to shorten them up, saves you from long boring links. you need to have credibility to use link shortening though., As mentioned before, most people do consider these to be spam.

      Agreed! On twitter I would shorten the links. You need the space and as far as SEO is concerned put your branded domain link on your profile url or description link.

    Since Twitter has limited characters allowed, you can use bitly. You can personalized your URL to give focus to the brand. For Facebook, you can link directly but it is easy to read post with short URLs.
