Facebook ad - split testing

Hello!
Im finally launching my ads for teespring after a lot of audience tweaking.
I want to split test my ads, so i have questions.

Im making 2 audiences, 3 images per audience, so im creating 6 campaigns. I saw somewhere that this is better , specially for testing cause facebook handles them equally.

Is it good to always post on your page when creating an ad or does it have the same results with checking the box that says "This post will only be used as an ad" ?

I wouldnt like to spam the page much, but on the other hand, i want more people actually going to my teespring link first.

So what do you think? Create one real post and the rest just use "this post will only be used as an ad", or create 6 new posts on my facebook page?

Thanks in advance!

*edit : or is it best for starters to just make 2 campaigns with the same picture just to test the waters of the niche first?

Facebook is starting to crack down on promotional posts, especially those that are the same as the ads. There is no problem using some for both, but don't do it as a steady diet.

Overall you are probably better off setting up 2 ad campaigns providing you have the funds to do so. That way you have more control over what you change and leave the same when you are split testing. Multiple images are definitely the way to go, but if you are doing real A/B split testing make sure you resist the temptation to change your copy when you are changing images.

Thank you all for your replies!

One more question thats driving me crazy!

I made an ad via power editor, i went for the multiple campaigns (we have a huge time difference, didnt see the posts), anyways:

I made a post to page via power editor and it is still unpublished!
I can not find the "publish button" anywhere! Is driving me crazy since i had to pause the campaigns.
Any Ideas? Im sure its something simple, i just cant see it right now! Help!

    Thanks again in advance!

How much I've learned in half a day.

For newbies like me who are planning and planning and waiting for the right time to create your ads for the first time, my advice is : Don't wait. Its good to plan, but once you get there there is tons of new stuff to figure out.

I got my ads not approved cause of the 20% text limit facebook has and had to figure out how to work Facebook's Grid . I spent a good amount of time making a template out of it for future use, just to get my ads right and every ad in the future.

For other newbies like me, you can manage your page's post from the top left corner where your name is, click it and then click manage posts.

So, i finally posted my ads, not at the time i wanted to, but boy did i learn. I can't even imagine what i will learn in the future when things get even more interesting!

So once i got them up, i checked my google analytics and it showed 7 visitors (i wasnt one of them)!! Was that real? Nothing is showing up on my ads. But, nothing was showing up on my ads yesterday either, no spending nothing, so i read that it sometimes takes a bit till it catches up. Oh well, i LOVED the rush those 7 visitors gave me, real or not!!

Im definitely not giving up! This is way too much fun!

    Thanks all for your advice!

When I start a Teespring Campaign I always post a shirt in a Fanpage I run.

Most of my pages are 12-40K fans so when I post a shirt I can immediately get an idea on how it's going to do in regards of conversion.

Then I run a Facebook ad via page post engagement with a little targeting to see how it does.

Then based on those analytics I usually run 3-4 ads with targeted interests. (1-2 interests each ad).

I always make sure I use Variable keys to get a firm idea on conversions (www teespring com/shirtname?t=variablekeyhere)

They is to test and track.
