Youtube link question

Is there a way to cloak say a clickbank link that you want to post below your youtube video in the description? Or does the link have to be that ugly hoplink?

    The easiest free way is to use a url shortner such as tinyurl.

    If you don't want to use a url shortner service then get a .COM domain then use the Wordpress plugin Prettylinks to create the links.

    Like the others have said, use a link shortener. Google's is pretty nice, and it might be good for SEO / ranking as it is a Google service, but that's just a theory. Otherwise, bitly or something similar is just fine.

    I suggest you to shorten the link, you can use URL shorteners such as bit.ly, goo.gl etc. Or even better if you get a domain name (related to the product name) and then do a 301 redirect. Or if you are using Wordpress (self-hosted version), then check out this plugin: Pretty Link Lite

    Whatever you do: do not use a url shortener on any platform, especially YT. And, depending on your videos and the volume, use a multitude of .com redirects. Anyone who's remotely invested in YT or marketing on any platform other than one they own will understand why.

    I see a lot of youtube users with blatant affiliate links in their description. And many of these cats are not Newbies with 'new' accounts.But for some reason youtube hasn't disabled them.

    I wouldn't send direct traffic from youtube to any affiliate clickbank offer.

    You should 'invest' in yourself and get your own website with a custom built lead capture page, get them to 'opt' in for more info and build your list with value.

    you can cloak the link using any url shortner , but I wouldn't recommend promoting affliate links directly with your video.

    Host a redirect link on a subdomain via your own hosting so your affiliate link ends up looking like: myaffiliatelink.mysite.com, where this link redirects to any page you want.

    There is a way...

    Your website would be like: domain.com Then you would create an index PHP Redirect in a directory via your website.

    Adding a directory is fairly simple. You basically create it using an FTP like FileZilla and then you would have created a directory so that your website would now be like: yourdomain.com/affiliateproductname Open the directory and create an index.php file and what you would have to do is just put in this code

?>
    Save it and upload. Then open up a browser and test is by going to:

    yourdomain.com/affiliateproductname

        It doesn't matter what you're using. You would still need to access your website via an FTP. Whether it's via your host or using something like FileZilla which is very user friendly.

        You DON'T overwrite the index.php because that's you're site. That is why you need to open up your site folder, then create a new directory, so it will look like this i.e. websitename/affiliateproductname - then you just put the redirect index.php file in there.

    How do they get away with it?

    These guys are racking insane amounts of traffic off ripped off videos from other people. They just appeal to "copyright fair use". Obviously they are not with AdSense but they are in a network so they are making money. Not only that, they are linking to amazong products it seems.

    How are all these compilation videos not getting deleted due copyright complains? I doubt they asked every single owner of these videos if they can make money off them. If they would they wouldn't be appealing to "copyright fair use" thing, which is just a grey area.

    I have given up on creating original content because it's just a chore and a waste of time unless you actually enjoy playing videogames and recording yourself or other shit like that which I find ridiculous, so I need to do something quick to make money as im otherwise fuc*ed. Also given up on anything AdSense related. They are insane and will screw you even if you are doing original content. You can't even link to websites if you are using AdSense as far as im concerned. Like you couldn't drop affiliate marketing links or anything if you are under AdSense.

    What's the deal with this? Only one video that goes viral and it doesn't even link to any other site. Regarding SocialBlade they arent on any network and it's obvious they aren't under AdSense as these videos are all ripped off.

    I can find so much weird shit in Youtube, a lot of wasted trafic.

    Anyway, if I want to get into a network, how does this work? Is it totally separated from AdSense or do I still need to get approved?

    I need someone to clarify this to me.

    I would suggest buying a separate domain name and redirect and mask the affiliate link to that URL.
