Event Promotion : Is it fine to promote comedy clubs and nightclubs on the same fb fan page?

Hi all,

I have created initially a fb fan page in order to promote only nightclubs, bar and restaurants and other events related to music.

However, I presently have the opportunity to promote a comedy club (which activities are only in the evening) and also would like to know if I could equally promote this last on my fan page (since it is a nightlife event).

    It is your fanpage so you can create/promote anything you want. You want to decide if what you are promoting would be suitable for your audience - will your client get their money's worth?

    In my opinion- comedy clubs fall under "night clubs" so it would be a good fit for your page.

    Most cities market comedy clubs as night clubs unless there is a name comic appearing who would be marketed on the strength of their name.

    Comedy clubs are good places for dinner + show to start the evening before going dancing or clubbing. Early shows are popular for that.

      Unless there is some advantage that you could think of, like a significant number of people who would go to a comedy club but never go to a nightclub, there should be no problem.

      The other thing that might work against you would be the name of your page. if it is something like BarcelonaNightClubs, that might be an issue, but if you have a more generic name, it would give more people an opportunity to like your page and get news from you.

        The page is generic but contains the world VIP so I am a bit confused but hope it will be fine since VIP is generally for Nightclubs/Concerts.

    I think you should be able to promote it. Since you have the word VIP in your name. Make it sound prestigious that's how I would do it.
