Right side ads- does it work? (Facebook)

Does these right side ads really work? Or should I only choose news feed and mobile, when creating ad and choosing where to show my information?

It seems that it is so hard to notice, and it also drops out the URL text description.

And is that right side ad cheaper comparing to news feed ads for example?

This is what I mean:

It depends upon your project. you can run tests and see what works better for you. Generally news feed ads work best. You should try to keep yourself constantly active in your consumer's newsfeed.

Yes thanks for answers. I am more SEO guy so this Facebook marketing is more new field to me.

marketeer, thats good point, I could create same ad separately for both news feed and right side, and then compare statistics.

artfalir, yes thats very good point, I've been thinking that should I use more boosted posts. So far my focus has been in "real" ads only, but now I have start testing that also.

I just read some article, and they claimed that mobile ads look the most a native post in news feed, and thats why those can be very effective. How do you see that?

Right side ad may not be as good as newsfeed when it comes to a lead conversion or similar campaigns.
Right side ads are mostly less costing comparing to the newsfeed ad.

As Markeeter and Artflair said, you need to experiment to see which one is performing good for you. For me right side ads are performing good these days considering the costs it take.

You need to put in a lot of thought process if you want to make a campaign successful.

    I prefer news-feed ads...

However, if you find a winning news-feed ad...

Copy it and test it out on the side, as that should give you your answer (to your specific offer)
