Facebook keeps asking me to verify my name

Hi

Has anyone experienced this with facebook locking there account and asking them to verify who they are with documents ?

I am thinking that Facebook has changed something i there security setting as i use FPTraffic to post to my pages and i am thinking that this is flagging up something within Facebook so think it is someone else.

Any one able to shed some light on this

It's happened twice now
thanks

yeah, It's happening to a lot of people. I am not sure what FPTraffic is but I am guessing its bought traffic. Bought traffic is mostly fake, and Facebook is getting pretty strict against that kind of stuff. They may look as your page as spam and therefore they want to verify your identity.

Sorry I didn't see this message earlier. FPTraffic uses the Facebook API to post to your Facebook Pages. It's 100% compliant and it most definitely didn't cause your Facebook account any issues

That was an identity theft attempt. you shouldn't given them anything. You should change you fb login and keep close watch on any / all your credit and bank accounts. Every little bit of info you give them can be enough for them to get the rest.

Yes, that's not totally unusual. It has been going on for quite some time, at least seven years that I know of.
Goes back to 9/11 and all the extra regulations from FTC and others dept have levied over time.
    Google's not much different.
If you go back with FB, they were pretty lax for a long time, as the others.

Anyway, there's probably a good reason you were flagged which they won't tell you and may not have stemmed from you and they're trying to narrow it down where it came from, whatever it is. Someone could have signed in with a similar name and may have been false.
They may ask you for a govt issued ID that they can verify, such as driver's licence, and never bother you again.
Up to you to determine if emails legit and if so and you don't want to participate, they'll shut down your account and they can do so because its theirs and not costing you. No obligation on their part other than what's in TOC and they have the right to protect their security.
    Good luck
