      If you are using these followers for preliminary social proof that you are great at Twitter, that might help you gain real followers. Sometimes people are inclined to pay more attention to tweeters who have more followers.

      Its highly probable that most of these are going to be either fake by by bot from a twitter farm, and on a long term basis, are not going to do you much good.

        And people who just tweets against you and the blocks you for using that kind of lame technique.


        It's really easy getting to a targeted audience in Twitter. I might someday make a thread about the method I used, but it's just about finding the right content and managing followers the right way. A tool like unfollowers.com will do the trick.

        Maybe if you start from 0 followers, you will obtain a follow back rate of just 10%, but that's just the first week. When you get a minimum of a solid base of followers, everything gets better and the growing is to some extent exponential, and you get follow back ratios of 30-40%, and if you take into account "extra followers" from retweets or viral contents, the number will eventually rise above 100%

        It's human nature. People look at the number of followers or counts, get impressed and follow themselves. Otherwise they neglect

        A person with 0 to a few followers or subscribers are not an option to them

    There may also be some SEO/Google/Youtube value to having a Twitter account with a number of low quality followers. But for actual social marketing, probably not worth the time and effort.

    Admit it.. people follow numbers and each other... If someone see's your a hot topic and you have a strong following behind you.. you bet they're going to join the crowd...

    According to my experience, numbers are useless when it comes to social medias. What matters is building relationships. Having 10 followers with good relation who share your content is countless times better than 1000000000 followers who don't care a thing about you.

    I built 3000 followers on twitter and no shares or clicks. I built the followers manually and also chose the followers manually. Still only a handful of them like 10 people share my tweets. That's because I reached out to them and developed some sort of relationship. And out of those 3000, I get only 2 or 3 visits. That too only sometimes

    I've have done this method before and I have reached up tp 10k followers in a week but after a week or two, followers are slowly depleting in number and I realized that fake followers means nothing really. In order to gain real followers you really have to get active and consistent. It'll take more time but it will be worth in the end.
