Does anyone make affiliate sales with Facebook marketing

Hi, Traffic from Facebook is not as targeted as Google. Therefore, I want to know, is Facebook marketing really effective. Can anyone monetize the traffic with affiliate links, instead of Google Adsense?

Sure. I run several free FB groups which I will post my affiliate links, and also a FB page where I will do the same.

I've gotten into a niche (outside of internet marketing) recently, where a top product creator in my niche sent out a mass e-mail and said that Facebook is a great way to get traffic for my particular niche and that it was the main source of traffic for someone that ended up on top of a leader board for a certain product -- even though the person had no list. I think it was using fan pages. I'm still learning about it since Facebook isn't something I use in the make money online niche.

Facebook and any social media website is a great method to market your affiliate links.

Facebook vs. Google Adsense, which to choose????

It is depend on your niche (the product you market)

Some niches get higher response on social than adsense.

Other niches work more efficient on adsense than facebook.

For example, niches like make money online and relations work better on facebook.

Niches like learning language and forex work better on adsense.

So, your choice must be depending on the products you promote.

Unless you're able to target FB users very well, they are mostly NOT in the mood to buy. It's much more lucrative to capture their e-mail address and sell to them later.

Traffic from Facebook can be as targeted as Google. Rather I would say, it can be much more targeted than Google.
The breadth of options available in Facebook advertising ecosystem is simply unrivaled. You can micro-target with as much specificity as you want and can ace the results.
Besides, Facebook can definitely be used to monetize traffic with affiliate links. However, don't direct the traffic directly to affiliate offers. Rather direct to your own landing pages. Directing clicks to affiliate offers will cause your ads to be disapproved and repeated endeavors will result into banning of your account.

Agree enormously with Irfanmaverick, the amount of granularity available to slice and dice audiences who see your ads is simply astounding. The best audience to target, of course, is someone who is actively to buy right this minute whatever it is you are selling.

You can get that with email after you have been telling people that something cool that they need to buy is coming their way. But otherwise you have to rely on their ability to phrase search inquiries and Google's ability to translate those phrases into the results that you want.

But being able to do things on Facebook like target English speaking people who live in Germany between the ages of 25 and 40 who are fans of American football teams can have fabulous results in an ad campaign.

it's highly targeted when you choose US because Facebook ads platform provides a lot of information about the audience behavior like for example the purchase behavior, credit card holder, love travel,...,etc

So i think you should stick with US traffic in Facebook and Don't Forget to collect their email address and names for future promotions because facebook users aren't usually in the buy mood.

I have made some good money offering a software called "WTFast" to WOW gamers and i took into consideration the above mentioned behavior.

Also selling TeeSpring T-Shirt Designs to internet marketer's with resell rights is doing very well right now on facebook.

    Good Luck

Agree with Ahmad Salah. Though targeting countries like USA/CANADA etc can be a bit costly but if you truly leverage the buffet of options available in Facebook specially "PARTNER CATEGORIES" where you can target based on what products they have bought, what class w.r.t earning do they belong etc. This significantly escalates the targeting of your FB Ads resulting in more promising results.

I wouldn't agree with the statement that Facebook is not as targeted as Google. Facebook surpasses Google when it comes to targeting. You have a lot of options, and you can really run some awesome targeted ads.

Yeah, you People surely can, and people do. Send the traffic back to your website, and put your affiliate links there. If you're giving them value, they'll return the favor.
